TPO Single-Ply

Thermoplastic Polyolefin, or TPO, in short, is a single-ply reflective roofing membrane consisting of polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber polymerized together. In general, a fully adhered or mechanically fastened system anchors it to wherever the same should be, which means that the white membrane will always be visible. TPO membranes reflect ultraviolet light, which keeps the roof and building cool in the summer.

This saves money on cooling costs and cuts down on carbon emissions. TPO is very resistant to tears, hits, and holes, but the same is also flexible enough to move with the building. Because of its sheer flexibility, TPO requires minimal care during its lifetime and you can install the same quickly. Most of the time, the roofing specialist would fully bond it to the insulation or cover board underneath, or utilize mechanical means to attach them with the latter. 

A roof with a light color that reflects the sun’s energy could help a building’s cooling costs go down by a lot. TPO membranes are heat-welded at 92.6 °C using a hot air gun. Therefore, the fused seam is stronger than the membrane’s field. TPO membranes are completely recyclable and contain no harmful or dangerous substances.
